Together with Destruction and Sodom, Mille Petrozza and his men are the forefathers and masters of German thrash metal. When they performed at the Dynamo Festival in the summer of 1998, they could already look back on a 16-year career and found themselves in a musically very interesting phase of their creative work. During their strong set, the band played some tracks from the then current album ‘Outcast’, as well as classics like “Extreme Aggression” or “Pleasure To Kill”.

A theatrical approach of black metal. With a creepy and nasty stage show Cradle of Filth released their first album in 1994. Principle of Evil Made Flesh was well-recieved and in 2006 it found the way into Metal Hammer’s list of the top ten black metal albums of the last twenty years.

At the Dynamo Festival 1997, they picked out three classic songs from their debut album: “The Forest Whispers My Name”, “The Black Goddess Rises” and “To Eve the Art of Witchcraft.” Dusk… and Her Embrace followed in 1996, an acclaimed breakthrough album that expanded the band’s fan-base throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Cradle of Filth’s new album set the tone for what was to follow. The album’s production values matched the band’s potential and Dani’s vocal gymnastics were at their top.
