An absolute highlight from the Deep Purple catalog: “The Battle Rages On” is the 14th studio album of the English rock legends.

It was originally released in July 1993 and was the last album in the Mk-II line-up with singer Ian Gillan and guitar virtuoso Ritchie Blackmore as well as John Lord (Hammond organ), Roger Glover (bass) and Ian Paice (drums), who had celebrated their second reunion a year earlier.

“The Battle Rages On” landed at #21 in the UK and #13 in Germany on the album charts. However, it also claimed several Top 10 placings, for example in Japan, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland.

Singles released were “Anya,” “Time to Kill,” “Talk About Love” and the title track “The Battle Rages On.”
