Respect The Classics Campaign Reissue!

Menacing, muscular and magnetic, DMX has always been hardcore rap’s unrivaled top dog. After the deaths of icons 2Pac and Biggie, when rap was threatening to go soft, DMX’s uncompromising intensity and street cred kept hardcore hard. He’s the only artist to have five consecutive albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. That they were the first five albums of his career makes his success even more astonishing. 2001’s The Great Depression was the fourth of those five consecutive No. 1s, and yet another spirited call to arms from Darkman X propelled by the three anthemic hit singles “We Right Here,” “Who We Be” and “I Miss You.” Continuing with its Respect The Classics campaign UMe will be reissuing The Great Depression back on vinyl for the first time since it’s original pressing in 2001.
