“The Magnificent Tree” is the third studio album by the Belgian band Hooverphonic, which was released on September 26, 2000. It combines trip-hop, dream pop and orchestral elements to create a cinematic and atmospheric sound.

On this third album, Hooverphonic leaves behind the icy, smooth seascape of “Blue Wonder Power Milk” and shifts to a darker, more melancholic mood. The album spawned four hit singles: “Mad About You”, ‘Vinegar & Salt’, ‘Out of Sight’ and ‘Jackie Cane’. The album stayed in the Flemish Ultratop 50 for 107 weeks, which proves its great commercial success.

In 2025, Hooverphonic celebrate their 30th anniversary, and alongside this milestone we also celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Magnificent Tree”.
