Night of the Stormrider (1991) is the second studio album from American heavy metal powerhouse Iced Earth, and one of the band’s most cult-revered releases. Issued by Century Media Records, it’s a dark, ambitious concept album conceived by band leader Jon Schaffer, blending speed metal aggression with epic storytelling.

This is the only Iced Earth album to feature vocalist John Greely and drummer Rick Secchiari, giving it a rawer, more underground edge than later releases. Fast, riff-driven and relentlessly intense, the album stands as a cornerstone of early ’90s US metal.

Originally released in 1991 and later remixed and remastered in 2002 by Jim Morris, Night of the Stormrider remains a fan-favourite classic and a vital chapter in the band’s legacy.
