MILKY WHITE TRANSPARENT DOUBLE VINYL EDITION LIMITED TO 100 COPIES

Formed in Oslo in 1967, Junipher Greene made history in 1971 with the release of Friendship, Norway’s first-ever double LP and a revered cornerstone of European progressive rock. Often called a “milestone” of the genre, this ambitious 18-track opus blends heavy prog, psychedelic touches, and jazzy complexity, with standout instrumentation including flute, mellotron, Hammond organ, and searing guitar solos.

Musically, Friendship channels the tension and drama of King Crimson, the organ-and-guitar firepower of Deep Purple and Uriah Heep, and the dynamic flair of early Jethro Tull. Dark, intricate, and emotionally intense, it’s a masterclass in early Scandinavian prog — from complex drumming to haunting vocals.

The original Sonet pressing is now a highly prized collector’s item, often valued around €1000 in near-mint condition. The stunning cover art was painted by none other than Odd Nerdrum, now one of Norway’s most famous contemporary artists.

An essential listen — and a holy grail — for serious progressive rock enthusiasts.
