Album number eight, suitably titled “Mastermind”, sets the The band continues their way of big riffs and murderous grooves impressively and shows the band from an energetic and extremely hungry side. The best example of this is the opening double strike “Hallucination Bomb” and “Bored with Sorcery”, which loudly shows that Dave Wyndorf hasn’t forgotten to rock or sing despite the stormy times. Such an authentic and rousing vocal performance has become a rarity.

A special highlight of the album is the song “Gods and Punks”, which was included in the history book as a blueprint for the ultimate rock song of the guitar music

The band was sound technically cared for by Matt Hyde (Staind, Slayer, Hatebreed), whose production “Mastermind” lets it bounce out of the speakers with such an enormous and crystal clear force that it is a real pleasure

The artwork comes from Invisible Creature, which was already made for Wolfmother, Chris Cornell or the Foo Fighters have taken over the graphic design.
