Solitude Aeturnus were formed in 1987. After numerous delays, the debut was finally released in July 1991, by which time most of the material for the second album was already in place and in March 1992 ‘Beyond the Crimson Horizon’, another all-time classic, was recorded and released in July. The next album was recorded in England. ‘Through the Darkest Hour’ was recorded at Rhythm Studios in March 1994. The album featured the band’s heaviest and best production to date and the live performances also benefited from the heavier tracks

After a longer break it took until April 1996 until the next album was recorded. At the end of 1997 Solitude Aeturnus signed with Massacre and released their best and most complete work to date ‘Adagio’ in March 1998

With ‘In Times Of Solitude’ the US doom gods now close an essential gap in their discography. The legendary and mega-searched ‘Justice For All’ cassette EP from 1988 is now finally made available to everyone by John Perez. The material has been remastered and enhanced with four more rare bonus tracks from the era. An extensive booklet with rare photos and liner notes completes this must-buy for fans of the band and doom metal fans of the eighties and nineties.
