Originally released in 1994, Promenade loosely recounts a day in the life of a pair of friends, siblings, or lovers. The album was an immediate critical success, establishing Neil Hannon’s early notoriety in France and beyond. Standout tracks include “Don’t Look Down”, “The Summerhouse”, and “Tonight We Fly”, the latter still closing The Divine Comedy’s live sets to this day.

For this special reissue, the album has been remastered from the original tapes at Abbey Road Studios by Frank Arkwright (Blur, The Smiths). The CD release comprises two discs: the original remastered album and a second disc of b-sides, demos, and alternate versions carefully curated by Neil Hannon, much of which has never been heard before.

The package also includes a booklet with photos, credits, and extensive liner notes written by Neil, providing insight into the context, inspiration, and stories behind the album and its songs. A must-have for fans and collectors alike.
