Following the success of the single “Born Slippy (NUXX)” from its use in the film Trainspotting, 1999’s Beaucoup Fish became British electronic group Underworld’s most anticipated release of their career. It lived up to the hype with the trio of successful textured singles “Moaner,” “Push Upstairs” and “Jumbo” which were hits on the dance charts and in the clubs. Beaucoup Fish was also well-received critically (one writer even calling it “electronica’s The Dark Side of the Moon”) and it remains Underworld’s most successful album, with over one million copies sold.
