After the 1985 gold comeback album Done With Mirrors, Aerosmith proved they were back for good with Permanent Vacation. The 1987 album only reached #11 on the charts but it stayed in the Top 20 for more than eight months. Spawning the Top 5 “Angel” and Top 20s “Dude (Looks Like A Lady)” and “Rag Doll,” plus a cover of the Beatles’ “I’m Down,” Permanent Vacation is currently certified five times platinum.
