Drawing heavily from ancient Greek heritage, AEALO translates history, mythology, and tradition into the universal language of Metal. The band’s trademark riffs and dark atmospheres are enriched with traditional female lamenting choirs, ancient reed pipes, and folkloric melodies and rhythms, creating a sound that is both fresh and deeply rooted in tradition.

While remaining true to their Black Metal origins since their founding in 1987, ROTTING CHRIST further solidify their spiritual kinship with equally individualistic acts such as PRIMORDIAL. This bond is highlighted by a powerful guest appearance from PRIMORDIAL’s vocalist Alan A. Nemtheanga. An equally striking contribution comes from legendary Greek-American avant-garde artist Diamanda Galás, who appears on a haunting cover version of her song “Orders from the Dead.”
