The ninth album of Savatage is again a precious jewel. It is the first album since the death of founding member and lead guitarist Criss Oliva, who had co-written two songs before his death, namely “Taunting Cobras” and “Nothing’s Going On”

“Handful of Rain” may not be a timeless masterpiece like “Streets” was, nor an album with the significance of “Edge of Thorns,” but it’s still an album that can outshine most of its heavy-sounding competitors, and especially an album that can make Savatage fans who had suffered so much from Criss’ death dream again.
