“Eve” from 1979 has to be one of the best albums of the Alan Parsons Project – an album with the most complex songs: about women and the incredible effect they have on men
Over the course of the album, a musical battle between the sexes ensues with Eve seducing Adam at the dawn of time and never failing to tear apart the male ego – especially by sexual means. The two vocalists (Lesley Duncan and Clare Torry) represent the female perspective, which makes the album highly entertaining. Some of the highlights on the album are “You Won’t Be There” about the fundamental insecurity of man, the boorish “You Lie Down With Dogs” and the furious “Lucifer.” “Eve” is one of the best mergers of music and concept.
