Formed in Maryland in 2002, The Hidden Hand was the short-lived but powerful project of doom legend Scott “Wino” Weinrich (The Obsessed, St. Vitus, Spirit Caravan), alongside producer/bassist Bruce Falkinburg and drummer Dave Hennessy. Fusing heavy riffs with politically and spiritually charged lyrics, the band released three full-length albums, a split EP, a single, and various compilation tracks before disbanding in 2007.

Wino recalls meeting Bruce through Atomic Music and Phase Studios, where their creative bond was forged during the final Spirit Caravan sessions. That chemistry led to the formation of The Hidden Hand—an inspired blend of sludge, doom, and progressive elements. Though short-lived, the band left a lasting mark on the underground heavy scene.

This release honors the legacy of The Hidden Hand and the unique synergy between Wino and Bruce Falkinburg. A must for fans of true heavy music.
