Produced by Rick Rubin with Tom Petty and Mike Campbell, it was released in November 1994 with 15 songs. “Wildflowers” is regarded as the creative highlight of Tom’s career. Originally conceived as a double album, as Tom had written and recorded 25 songs, “Wildflowers” was eventually shortened to 15 songs.
