“Borderland” marks a bold new chapter for Finnish metal icons Amorphis — their first album produced in collaboration with Jacob Hansen (known for his work with Volbeat, Arch Enemy, and Epica). After three acclaimed records with Jens Bogren, the band sought fresh creative perspectives, and Hansen’s calm yet imaginative approach proved to be the perfect match.

The result is a record that retains the unmistakable Amorphis sound — epic, melodic, and deeply emotional — while exploring new textures and sonic landscapes.
